What you post
You keep what you make: your chat, names, skins, messages and reports. You let us show and use it to run MCS, like your name in a match report or your messages in chat. Only post things you have the right to share.
Terms of Service
The deal when you play on MCS, use this site or our Discord bot, or buy from the store.
The short version
- Play fair and follow the rules, or staff can mute, kick or ban you.
- Everything you can buy is cosmetic. It never gives an edge in a match.
- Sapphires only work on MCS. They can't be cashed out or traded.
- PayNow handles payments and refunds, under its own Buyer Agreement.
- MCS isn't made by or connected to Mojang or Microsoft.
These terms
By joining the server, visiting this site, using our Discord bot or buying from the store, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use MCS.
"MCS", "we" and "us" mean the small team that runs it.
Who can play
- You need to be 13 or older, the same as Discord.
- You need your own Minecraft: Java Edition account. You're responsible for everything done on it, so don't share it.
- To buy something, you need to be old enough to accept PayNow's Buyer Agreement, or have a parent or guardian buy it for you.
Playing fair
Follow the match rules, the rules in game (/rules) and our Discord rules. Don't:
- Cheat, use hacked clients or exploit bugs.
- Use alt accounts to dodge a ban or to boost stats, ratings or Elo.
- Harass, threaten or spam other players.
- Post anything hateful, sexual or illegal.
- Pretend to be staff.
When someone breaks the rules, staff can mute, kick or ban them, reset their stats or remove items. Staff decide what counts as breaking them. A ban doesn't come with a refund.
Buying things
How it works
The store sells through PayNow, which is the seller for every order. PayNow's Buyer Agreement covers payment, tax and refunds.
Your order goes to the Minecraft account you bought it for, usually within a minute. If you're offline, it waits until you next join.
Sapphires
Sapphires are our in-game currency. They only work on MCS, they have no cash value, and they can't be cashed out, sold or traded. You can buy them for a friend as a gift.
What you get
- Everything you can buy is cosmetic or a lobby perk. None of it gives you an edge in a match.
- Some items last for a set time, shown before you buy.
- Crates give a random cosmetic. Every crate's contents and exact odds are on the crate odds page.
Subscriptions
Some items are subscriptions. They renew by themselves at the price and interval shown before you buy, until you cancel. You can cancel any time at checkout.paynow.gg/subscriptions with the email you paid with. You keep what you've paid for until that time runs out, and cancelling doesn't refund time you've already paid for.
Gifts
A gift goes to exactly the name you type, so check the spelling. A gift sent to the wrong name can't always be moved.
Refunds and chargebacks
- Refunds are handled by PayNow, under its Buyer Agreement.
- If you bought from the EU, you can withdraw within 14 days of buying and get your money back for any Sapphires you haven't used.
- Refunded items and Sapphires are taken back off your account.
- If you charge a payment back through your bank, we can remove what it bought and suspend the account until it's settled.
Changes to items
We can change, rebalance, rename or retire items, prices and features. If MCS ever closes, Sapphires and items end with it. None of this comes with a refund, except where the law says otherwise.
The AI characters
Gaffer Pete and Kit Man Kev are AI. They can get things wrong, and what they say isn't a staff decision. Don't tell them anything private: the Privacy Policy says where their chats go.
The server as it is
We work hard to keep MCS running, but it's run by a small team. It can go down, lag, lose data or change without warning.
MCS is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for lost progress, items or time, or for what other players do. If we're ever responsible for a loss, it's limited to what you paid in the 12 months before.
Ending things
You can stop playing any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, without a refund, except where the law says otherwise.
Minecraft
MCS is not an official Minecraft product. It is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. Minecraft's own End User License Agreement applies on MCS too.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and big changes get announced in our Discord. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms.
